Taylor-Smith welcomes new partner Global Robots

The industrial robotic specialists, Global Robots, are expanding their current motorsport sponsorship program to take on the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with multiple race winner Árón Taylor-Smith. Global Robots, a UK based industrial robot company from Bedfordshire is a market leader in offering a single source solutions for industrial robots, spare parts, service and advice.

The BTCC is set to host another action packed championship that is live on ITV with a full capacity grid of 29 cars already signed up for the series. New to the grid for this season will be the Cupra Leon piloted by the Irish ace. One of the major headlines during the winter break has been Árón’s return to the series in which Global Robots have played a helping hand.

“I made no secret of my intentions this off season – I wanted to return to the BTCC in a package that I knew would be capable of challenging at the front. The brand new Cupra Leon is being built like a piece of artwork at Team HARD HQ, you have no idea how excited I am for our first test which should be within the month and it’s great to welcome Global Robots into the program.”

2021 marks the first season in which Global Robots will take on a four-wheel motorsport campaign after having been involved in the British Superbike paddocks for a number of years. The BTCC boasted over 230 hours of TV coverage in 2020 with a viewership in excess of 21 million. For the 2021 season, the Global Robots logo will be on show for the millions to see on Árón’s car.
